Ms Victoria Conlan

Music Teacher and Year 2 Mentor
I studied for a BMus(Hons) at Goldsmiths College, University of London and I completed my PGCE (Music) at the University of Sunderland. After teaching for some time I was awarded a scholarship to study performance (PGDip) at the Royal Northern College of Music. As part of my studies at the RNCM I encountered Dalcroze Eurhythmics, an embodied approach to music teaching. I have recently completed my Dalcroze Certificate, qualifying me to teach using the Dalcroze approach.
I love writing songs to use as part of my teaching, and I am looking forward to music making at BISM. Outside of school, I am a wildlife enthusiast and I am already enjoying seeing and hearing the different birds and animals that are native to southern Spain. I love to explore new places and try new things and am keen to learn some more Spanish.
