What’s the Story, Dea-anory?

We love stories in Reception and even more when parents come in and read them! We also know strong links between school and home supports children's developing literacy skills and helps foster a love of books. In February, we were lucky enough to have Nikolai´s mum, Dea, come and visit us to share some of her favourite stories with the class. Dea herself is a published author, so this made it even more exciting. Dea read two English stories and one in Norwegian, asking the children if they could figure out what the story was about from the pictures and by the tone of her voice. The children loved the experience and sat beautifully listening to the stories. We look forward to welcoming more parents into Reception to share some of their favourite stories in the weeks ahead.
