I have been teaching for 12 years. My studies, my curiosity and desire to see the world beyond my home country have taken me abroad to work as a teacher in different countries. Therefore, my teaching experience in formal education is very much varied and applies to almost all age ranges. Not only have I been a substitute high school teacher of English in Spain, but also a Spanish-language assistant at a high school in England and a teacher of Spanish at an institution for adult education in Italy. However, the most significant working experience so far has been in the US, at an elementary school in Texas, where I taught bilingual students for three years. I am fond of reading and travelling. Being a linguist, I do love words and they say I have a knack for foreign languages. Apart from Spanish, which is my mother tongue, and English, which is a language that I have been studying since I was a child, I also speak Italian. I have been lucky enough to visit different countries and one of the things that I enjoy the most is going on road trips. I am really excited about being part of the BISM family. It is a new start, a fresh start, for many of us and our hopes are high. It is a most beautiful and rewarding experience to work with children: you teach, you learn. Let’s make the most of this unique opportunity we have been given.
