Before qualifying as a teacher I had a successful and rewarding career in the creative media industry and worked for 10 years at the BBC in Bristol and Leeds. I have a passion for moving image production and performing arts. I qualified as a Teacher of Drama and Media Studies and was Head of Media Studies and Initial Teacher Training Coordinator at a large school in the north of England for 15 years in my previous job. I have visited Spain on many occasions and I am very excited to be embarking on a new adventure in the sunshine. In my spare time I like to keep fit and enjoy running and I have completed five marathons and raised money for a variety of charities. For relaxation I watch films and TV dramas and my favourite genre is Nordic Noir and I also like to spend time with my family and two dogs.
