Ms Irene Hernandez

Position:
Spanish Teacher
Qualifications:
Master´s degree in Bilingual Education (University of Francisco de Vitoria) BA (Hons) in Primary Education (University of Castilla La Mancha)
I have developed my professional career in the UK, where I have taught Spanish as an additional language from Year 7 up to Sixth Form. My years of experience in the British education system have played a crucial role in shaping the professional I am today. In my lessons, I don't merely aim for students to understand how the language works; my goal is to share my passion for the subject, which encompasses more than just grammar. I provide them with the tools they need to become independent learners. Learning a new language takes time and requires motivation; for this reason, I take pride in creating a nurturing environment where my students feel safe to learn and give their best. My lessons always include time for challenges and games as they play a vital role in acquiring knowledge. Outside of school, I enjoy exercising and connecting with nature. I also have a passion for travelling, listening to music (and watching musicals!), and spending time with friends.
