Ms Fiona Monk

I am an enthusiastic and experienced teacher, committed to delivering engaging and relevant lessons to allow all pupils to fulfill their potential. People often ask me which subject I prefer teaching, but the truth is that I love teaching both Business Studies and Economics as they are always changing, always topical, and they help to develop pupils´analytical, problem solving and team skills. Both subjects are highly and increasingly relevant for today's complex world. Prior to teaching I worked in the Philippines and Japan, and was fortunate enough to travel extensively throughout both countries and Thailand. In my spare time I love fitness activities and especially hiking, so am looking forward to exploring local trails and having a regular sea swim, something I haven't done in Scotland surprisingly. I am also learning Spanish and hope to become fluent in a few years ́ time.
